Funny, how he got away with things:

the funny way he walked and talked,

what he told people to their faces

Funny, his obvious nose, the six digits

on both feet he liked to show little kids

to amaze them

Funny how he could make an ass of someone

with a knowing flip of his wayward hair,

their arrogance, stupidity, opinions,

the clothes they thought they had to wear

to look indifferent, altered their voices

to match the crowd, the way they bragged

by sneaking in a detail or two, worked so hard

to parrot the week’s buzz words

Funny too, a guy who stuttered,

how clear he always was about

what was really going down
